- HELLO AND WELCOME, COULD YOU PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF?
MEHMET ÇETİN: Of course, I'm a producer and visual effects expert born in 1978.
- COULD YOU PROVIDE US WITH SOME INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND CAREER?
MEHMET ÇETİN: After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Eastern Mediterranean University, I started my career in filmmaking. However, since my family was in the field of law, I initially did not receive support for filmmaking.
- HOW DID YOU NAVIGATE THROUGH THIS POINT?
MEHMET ÇETİN: I stubbornly pursued to do what I loved. I decided to make my own films and prepared a trailer, then I went to Istanbul. There, I met with producers and showed them my work.
- WHAT WERE THE INITIAL REACTIONS YOU RECEIVED?
MEHMET ÇETİN: At first, I was met with skepticism. It seemed unbelievable for such projects to come from Turkey. However, I proved myself with the examples I showed, and things quickly started to develop.
- COULD YOU TALK ABOUT SOME PROMINENT PROJECTS YOU'VE WORKED ON?
MEHMET ÇETİN: Yes, particularly the visual effects we did for the detective film "Universal Narcotic Crimes" received great interest. Afterwards, we started working on visual effects alongside producing.
- HOW IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH DEVELOPMENTS IN THE INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY?
MEHMET ÇETİN: Technology has greatly contributed to the industry. Especially with artificial intelligence and visual effects software, we are able to do our work faster and more efficiently.
- WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE STATE OF THE INDUSTRY IN TURKEY?
MEHMET ÇETİN: There is great talent and potential in our country. However, more support and resources are needed in certain areas. Particularly, more investment in artificial intelligence and visual effects is important.
- FINALLY, COULD YOU PROVIDE US WITH INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR FUTURE PROJECTS?
MEHMET ÇETİN: Currently, I'm working on a new book and our projects related to artificial intelligence are ongoing. Additionally, we are focusing on new projects in the cinema and TV series industry.
